This blog is about seaweeds (or algae) in Singapore. While there is a huge amount of information online about seaweeds, little work has been done locally. I hope this blog will be able to draw algal researchers and interested people alike, to share their stories about seaweeds and the work being done on them. From time to time, I hope to highlight the shy people who work on these under-studied organisms locally – the “sister” page I have created on Facebook is essentially the “contact list” of people who work on, or are interested in, these plants (technically, they are protists, or protoctists – but let’s keep things simple for now 🙂 ).
